This
new handset from Nokia has the compulsive ‘texter’ in
mind – designed with an integrated
full keyboard for quicker and easier messaging,
stereo FM radio, full colour screen combined
with multi-media messaging, Java technology
and a whole host of up-to-the-minute features.
If normal texting isn’t quick enough,
turn the Nokia 6800 horizontally, flip
it open and use the integrated keypad:
you can even start writing your message
with the cover closed and then continue
the text with the cover open. And don’t
worry if the ease of texting makes your
message longer than the normal 160 characters,
the handset’s concatenation function
will split the text and send it as a number
of individual messages as well as allowing
you to send a message to several persons
at a time. To keep up with the latest mobile
technology, Nokia do offer a camera headset
for this handset– a small and lightweight
camera with full compatibility.
With
this new handset and the multimedia message
functionality,
you’ll be
able to add a picture or graphic and an
audio clip to send along with your texts
to other MMS compatible phones as well
as receive messages containing a text,
a polyphonic ringtone, and an image, which
can also be saved as a ringtone and as
wallpaper. The phone’s polyphonic
ringtones and the integrated stereo FM
radio offers you a high-quality sound experience
coupled with the handset’s unusual
SyncML compatibility allowing you to synchronize
personal data remotely over the network.
The handset’s Notes features makes
it easy to take short Meeting notes, capture
your thoughts, keep a diary and using the
phone’s mobile wallet application,
offers you the convenience of reliable
online shopping via WAP. Want to email
someone? No need to search for the nearest
PC, the Nokia 6800 can manage your emails
for you, whether waiting at the nearest
bus-stop or on board a taxi.
Combined with GPRS (General Packet Radio
Service), HSCSD (High Speed Data), WAP
and a large selection of pre-installed
ringtones, the dual-band 6800 includes
games, 10 predefined and replaceable picture
